Big-sister type is totally just fine. I'm used to handwaving that it works weird across world boundaries anyway, so that should work just fine. It'll really be up to you how you portray it, anyway.
Danny, A+, that makes total sense. Conan, also A+, that's a thing that's worked to ignore China before in canon.
As for Will, I'd be fine also with attacking happening, if that's a level of conflict you're interested in or comfortable with. I think I've said it before, but China is worse when she's allowed to stay comfortable. Unless you think any conflict would be horribly single-sided?
